Past Mahi

This page acknowledges the past mahi we are proud to have lead and/or been a part of. Whilst the kaupapa may have come to an end, the aspirations, goals, and kaha within these spaces as still so important.

The vision of this program is to support participants to enhance self-direction and contribute to a flourishing state of wellbeing, for Māori experiencing distressing auditory and/or visual hallucinations.

Tūmunako was developed by Te Kete Pounamu in partnership with Mana o Te Tangata.  It started with the formation of an audio collection comprising of karakia, waiata, original songs and spoken word.  The collection was launched during 2020 New Zealand Music Month in a special concert to signify the achievement.   Following the collection has been made available through a dedicated digital portal and through music sharing application – Spotify.

Te Kete Pounamu

Te Kete Pounamu is the national voice for Māori with lived experience of hauora hinengaro (mental health) and/or substance recovering (AOD).
